Product Description
The Pen-type VFL is specifically designed for field technicians who need an efficient and economical tool for fiber tracing, fibre routing and continuity testing in optical networks. It locates breakpoints, poor connections, bends or cracks in fibre optic cables, can locate faults in an OTDR dead zone and is used for end-to-end visual fibre identification.
The Visual Fault Locator shines visible 650nm laser light into the fibre. When the light encounters a break or sharp bend, it scatters and the scattered light can be observed coming out of the cable.
